While leading the PR and communications strategy for Air New Zealand on the agency side, we drove viral news cycles for its beloved safety videos, reinforced the airline’s leadership for in-cabin excellence, and launched multiple U.S. routes. When the Kiwi carrier announced its arrival in Chicago, I developed and executed a strategy to host an immersive, multi-day activation in the city. We placed multiple shipping containers on Michigan Ave to generate buzz for the airline and ignite interest in New Zealand as a destination. The activation facilitated direct interactions with over 2,000 consumers and sparked social conversations with share-worthy moments, resulting in a 10% increase in social engagement within the market.
